For me it is not normal. But Canyon is aware of the problem. I told Canyon Netherlands about it and they said that is you put the right pressure on the RP23, the posiblity he bottoms and touches the frame is very small. But it's posible. With a 2.25 tire you have no problem. Although use a 2.4 and if you get any problems with it, just tell Canyon about it an they will do their best to help you.
This is one of the reasons the AM5.0 is a the bottom of my list.
