Sorry. Really don't know if they have been made in 1". As this is a little later model I asume only 1 1/8 was made. I think 1" headtubes where only in very early 90's and of course 80's. My first few bikes where 1" but (if I remember correct) my first bike with 1 1/8 was in 91 or 92

I am not sure if it is possible but: would it be possible to "edit" an 1" headset so that an 1 1/8" stem will fit? Never tried it myself....

Hmm, don't know. But i will have to make the headset fit to a 1 1/8 inch fork as well. Don't know if it would work out well...
