Bisher war Troy Lee Designs primär für ihre auffällig lackierten und hochpreisigen Fullface-Helme bekannt – im Zuge des anhaltenden Enduro-Trends bringt die Firma aus Corona/Kalifornien nun ihren ersten Allmountain-Helm auf den Markt.
# Die „gold flake“-Version des „A1“
Bezüglich der Wahl des Modellnamens hält es TLD traditionsgemäß puristisch, sodass das neue Modell auf den schlichten Namen „A1“ hört. Nachdem man sich die letzten Jahre ausschließlich auf Freeride-,30 years of riding. 3 years of design. 1 helmet of choice. Troy Lee Designs
Ganze drei Jahre soll entwickelt und designt worden sein, bis der „top of the line helmet“ für XC, Enduro und Trail-Einsatz fertig war.

Natürlich ist der Helm nicht uni-farben, sondern kommt in klassischer Motocross-Optik – die besonders in der goldenen Metallic-Lackierung nicht sehr unauffällig ist, aber dem Stil von TLD durchaus treu bleibt. Zitate der Profis, die den Helm bereits fahren:
