The first THIRTY7EVEN Pump Battle combined sports on the highest level and recreational pleasure for the youthful masses in Assen, The Netherlands.

The modular pumptrack from Bikeparkitect is the ideal place to get into mountain biking, BMX, inline skating or skateboarding. The success of this event was visible; there was a queue of smiling young faces for clinics and little competitions. Even kids with push bikes enjoyed the pumptrack!

A day later the professional riders got on the dual pump track. Wichman mixes various disciplines and that ensured that the battle is not only a struggle between individuals but also between different kinds of sports. To make sure it was not only about the gate, all riders raced chainless. This assured that it was all about pumping and biking skills

The world champion fourcross, the Dutch Elite champion BMX, and several stars from the freestyle BMX & MTB scene were present. Over 70 riders started head to head from the starting tower, they were challenged by a big jump and then pumped their way through the pumptrack. In the end World Champion Wichman took the win, in front of BMX talent Geert v.d Velde and Freestyle BMXer Bas Fokkinga.

The unique character of the event was clearly highly appreciated. Make sure you don’t miss the 2nd round of the Pump Battle Series!
