Help about Cuberider II rear light

Hi, I have bougth a Cuberider II, I thought that this light was a blinking light, but which have was my surprise when I have see that this light only have function of on or off but without blinking mode.....I have been looking for information about this light, for know if my cuberider are damage or only works that anyone could said me if are normal my cuberider II??

I don't knew.... I thought that all rear light had binking mode, but already I see that don't that

The quality manufacturer of battery-lights don`t offer different LED-modes owing to the operating license for bicycles.

A blinkmode is only necessary for gamer and kiddies, it has no function in serious lightning-systems.


And why has the blinkmode, such a importance for you..........you won`t note the blinkmode, because the light is under your ass

there sure are positive sides to blinking:
light lasts more than 10 times longer with same batteries
attention grabbing even with low output

but
its more difficult for others to estimate distance to rider
annoying

PS: in short its ONLY the version approved for street use in Germany where there is no blinking function, in all other parts of the world the lights can blink + light steady. German import versions have blinking skipped.
As the Sigma comes from there, there is no blinking.

Khaane Hi, how have said yellow_ö with binking mode the are more durable batteries life. But, don't only by this, all people know if he see by the night a blinking light that you are a bicycle and you ride more slow than they with cars and that will have more care for and they will reduce the velocity of your vehicles when they are approach to you.

If my light are fixed (no blinking mode) then all people will think that I are a vehicle with normal velocity and would danger my integrity.

Would that in Germany all people drive your cars, trucks, motorcycles with more care for to bycicle drivers, but in Spain the mentality of the people are other very different....unfortunately

Thanks for the info. But I already had a sigma cubelight (this light have blinking mode) and I bought the cuberider II for the type of batteries(2 AAA batteries), the cubelight use 2 LR1 batteries, more expensives and don't rechargeable, but clear I'm found the blinking "problem" of the cuberider....

You can try this light or a Vetta TSL-C light. I have some pictures of it in my profile. The Vetta is really bright (not as bright as a home made red LuxIII light) and has a flashing mode.

Hi, Thank you for your interesting to my security but I don't would blinding to the cars, or another vehicles that go behing mine with that light such power!!!

I have see that the cuberider II illuminate very much and the batteries they to last about 60 hours, that don't are bad.
